Wessex Trailer with Demountable Containers

Prototype twin axle Wessex trailer fitted with hydraulic pump circuit and self-contained power source. Full functional and in regular operation this was the model upon which the production trailers were based. It is approximately 6 years old. It has full height jack legs, which will demount a container to ground level from the bed of the trailer. The operation is single-handed and needs no external power source to function. The trailer has electronic wheel drives on all road wheels and can be manoeuvred short distances into position; the drives also facilitate the demounting process.

There are two containers, which have an hydraulic interface built into the chassis. The external dimensions of the containers are 2 mtrs wide 2.225 high and 4.850long approximately and the payload is approaching two tonnes.

We had our Banbury Box Trailer custom made, and used it for transporting our band PA. We're only selling because of a change in direction for our careers.

The trailer is 4ft high, 4ft wide and 6ft long; single axle, unbraked, 750kg gross; rear double doors, secured with [replaceable] pad locks, rear prop stands. In the last two years we have had new industrial wheels and tyres fitted, plus new electrical connections, since when it has been stored in a garage and only taken out twice. The trailer interior is carpeted throughout.
